I am passionate about helping clients struggle less, feel more comfortable with themselves, and obtain usable tools to cope with whatever may come their way.

WHAT TO Expect IN THERAPY
  • Therapy is interactive and collaborative.

I work collaboratively with you to figure out where you’re getting stuck, ways to help you get unstuck, and find the right tools for you that you can use far after therapy with me has ended.  To do this, I get to know you, what is working for you, what isn’t working for you, and where you’d like to be. We can then start to hone in on what your values and goals are, sift out what is really important to you, and focus on engaging in new ways of thinking, feeling, and interacting with the world that align with your values and goals.

  • Therapy is not mysterious.

It’s important for us to be on the same page, for you to understand why we’re doing the things we’re doing or why we’re talking about the things we’re talking about. We can work together to help you live a life you like.

  • We can focus more on your present-day patterns and experiences, than on your childhood.

Therapy with me is more how your current patterns are working for you and what we can do today to help you feel better. We can discuss things from your childhood, if you want to, but we won’t spend all of our time focusing on that phase of your life, if it doesn’t apply. I want to understand how your life is working (or not working) right now, as well as any potential areas for change that may make you to feel more comfortable, less anxious, less depressed, and more equipped to deal with situations in the future.
